Feeding the ducks

Last Monday we went to feed the ducks for FHE and had SO much fun. The weather is finally nice and we can enjoy all the fun things to do. Our favorite is the riverwalk where we feed the ducks, roll down hills, play at parks, see the beach, and hear the giant bell tower chiming beautiful tunes every hour. There is so much ambience in this city!
Haela wasn't afraid to let the ducks eat right out of her hand!
She got a kick out of the geese and ducks gathering around her.
The ducks weren't as fond of Enoch since he just chased them, pulled their feathers, and ate their food off the ground before they could get it!
At least he had a ball!

He's thinking, "what shall I eat next?"

Frustrations

So I thought I was completely done with potty-training but suddenly in the last few weeks Haela has been having accidents every few days. She hadn't had an accident in 3 months and then out of no where she reverted back a little. Wetting her pants isn't a big deal but pooping in them is really tough for me. Is this normal to revert back a little? I know it is when there is a big change like a new sibling, etc. but what about when it seems there is no reason? If you have any suggestions please fill me in!

Yay! I got an award! Heather, you really did make my day by sending this award. Thank you SO very much! You are such an example of a mother who truly loves her children. Thank you for that. Part of this award is sending it to 5 other people who constantly make my day. There are so many of you that do this but I feel today I need to send this award to these 5 people...

Testimony of a Prophet

Wasn't conference wonderful?!! I am always SO grateful for conference for how it fills my tank that has been running near empty! Though I didn't get much from the talks on Saturday due to kids running wild and visiting with family (thanks for the excellent room and board, Shay!) I did gain much from Sunday's session and was amazed at the powerful transition of our new prophet receiving the mantle. It was strange after President Hinckley passed away and President Monson was named the new prophet because it didn't really feel like we had a prophet. Maybe it was because I hadn't yet sustained him or because we hadn't really been addressed by him but I just couldn't really feel like he was our prophet. But yesterday, when he spoke for the first time to all the church I was engulfed by the powerful feeling I received while he addressed us. I never thought of the mantle being given at an exact moment but it really seemed that while he spoke he was receiving it. He spoke as he has never spoken before. His words pierced me to the heart and I couldn't help but cling to every word he spoke. There is a powerful change that has taken place in him and I know it is the prophetic mantle that has officially been placed upon him. The spirit witnessed to me in the most powerful way that he truly is our prophet and any sadness I felt for the loss of Pres. Hinckley was filled with joy and peace. I felt happy that Pres. Hinckley can now be with his true-love and that the gospel continues to move forward in the greatest way! I am SO grateful for that witness!

Happy Days Are Here Again!

Yes, we are all happier now because the sleep deprivation is beginning to subside!! Enoch is now only getting up ONCE a night instead of the once grusome 6-10 times...and he is taking naps on schedule! I am telling you this kid has made MAJOR progress because up until about 4 weeks ago he wouldn't sleep for longer than 30 minutes at a time. Why? He was having back-to-back ear infections and in a lot of pain! We tried the natural route and then stooped down to antibiotics--after 4 rounds he still had an ear infection! Solution? We found an amazing lady who specializes in holistic medicine and she found he was sensitive to dairy. I know, some of you may think it is hocus pocus but he is a different kid since we took him off dairy, gave him this great probiotic and drops to boost his immune system. He has not had an ear infection since and we are loving the sleep!!!

Before....trying to cool down his fever.

After....Happy, sleeping great and NO ear infections
