Though Haela can be pretty rough with her brother she can also be SO nurturing. This was a tender moment when I found her singing him lullabies. It is these moments that make it all worth it.

Hospital stay #5

Haela made it to her 5th hospitalization last week in state #5. Yes, she is getting to know the country one ER at a time. Her hospitalization repetoire includes Arizona, Idaho, Tennessee, Virginia, and now Illinois. The doctors are hoping to find a medication that will keep her asthma under better control. The weather changed really fast from mid 60's to negatives in just a few days. This did her in! After a few days of pumping steroids, antibiotics, oxygen, and liquids she bounced back and is doing SO much better. We were thankful that Spencer and Shayla were in town to watch Enoch! Kelly and Haela had some good bonding time in the evenings. He knew I would not get any sleep on the chair bed so he suggested I go home and stay with Enoch. He really twisted my arm! The doctors said Haela will have a great career in gymnastics (or wrestling). She knows how to twist out of any pin-down! It doesn't matter how sick our daughter is, she is NOT going to make it easy on the doctors or nurses poking her.

We only bathe our children on days that don't end in Y. At least they are happy in their mire. Haela is now 3 and Enoch is 8 months. He is one tough cookie because his older sister likes to drag him everywhere. We have tried to help her understand that flesh and hardwood are not good companions. Haela is 99.9% potty trained. We followed Edisons approach. We failed many ways but finally realized that Haela is an incentive person, not a punishment person. WE found the frilliest princess dress and slippers and pinned them to the wall in the bathroom and made a little chart. Every time she went #2 she got a sticker. The slippers were 10 stickers and the dress is 20. she only has 1 sticker left for the dress and hasn't pooped in her shorts for a week. This is a beautiful thing. We can send you the directions to the "Bribe the poop out" potty training method for 3 easy installments of $44444. Small unmarked bills please.

Yes Folks, he did this to himself. Enoch is crawling everywhere and decided it would be fun to crawl into the laundry basket. Either he is studying to be an escape artist or he knows how cute he is.

The start of a new revolution

A blogging we will go,
a blogging we will go,
hi-ho the dairy -o
a blogging we will go.

So this is going to be a lousy first attempt at blogging cus we have to go in a minute but i just wanted to get something out there so I could stop procrastinating. WE will post more later. Can I justify and say this will be my journal? I have always felt guilty for not keeping a journal because I didn't think there was that much interesting in my life. Maybe I can keep a journal with pictures.
