Johnson Family Reunion

Yes, we had another family reunion with my family last week in Island Park. We all stayed in my sister-in-laws' family's cabin. It was such a blast. There is nothing like everyone piling in a cabin in the woods where no one can go home at night! It gaurantees good bonding time! This was our first official family reunion with the immediate family. Everyone was there!

Haela loved playing house with her cousins....
and jumping on the trampoline....
and playing with Daniel's pet rat!
You see my lovely tattoos?! Yes the marshmallow bag melted on my arms while roasting!

THE LADY OF SHALOTT
If you have ever seen Anne of Green Gables you know what I mean. My little fireball red-head whose middle name is Ann reminds me so much of the girl of green gables. So when she fell fast asleep in the canoe I couldn't help but think of "The Lady of Shalott"

Kelly doing a cartwheel off the dock! What a dare-devil!
Enoch really wanted to jump into the river
but when he did it was a little too cold for him!
Kelly, of course, wanted to be the main paddle-man!

CANOEING/SWIMMING

Haela and Enoch had a blast in the rafts and boats

Enoch getting bonding time with Grandma and Grandpa (at the dock)
I love this shot! I chose to be the camera-man
instead of jumping into the freezing water!

Hike to an old fire tower--it was a beautiful sight at
the top with the view of all of Yellowstone and Island Park

Family reunion games--digging through sawdust to find hidden coins
Family reunion games--grandma's treasure hunt
(Haela found a clue hidden behind the stop sign)
Enoch couldn't get enough of the windy staircase at the cabin!

Checketts Family Reunion

Hey everyone! I know, we dropped off the face of the earth for awhile. But we have a good excuse! Kelly was laid off due to budget cuts and at the last minute we had a strong feeling we needed to move back west. So we packed up our house and drove out to Idaho to make the family reunion and move in with family until things get figured out. It is a long story that I will get into further detail later. But what is important is we know we are in the right place (despite the fact that we had decided to never MOVE back home!). We had a fun time with Kelly's family for a full week. Everyone was there! We all gained a few pounds from the endless treats and food but we all had smiles on our faces!
